This is a 3 hour class on the basics of carving:
- Opening discussion
- Description of our business, what we do, and how we do it
- Types of Ice (show them can and clear ice) and discuss benefits of each
- Safety precautions
- Carving Attire
- Tool organization
- Explain the format of the class to the students
- Demonstrate how the student will complete the steps with their tools
- Break Students into teams of 2
Ice Lathe
This is a 2 hour class on the ice lathe:
- Introduction to the lathe
- Safety precautions
- Carving Attire
- Tool organization
- Explain the format of the class to the Students
- Demonstrate how the student will complete the steps with the lathe
- Break Students into teams of 2
How to Snow Fill Logos
This is a 3 hour class on the basics of carving:
- Opening discussion
- Description of our business, what we do, and how we do it
- Types of Ice (show them can and clear ice) and discuss benefits of each
- Safety precautions
- Carving Attire
- Tool organization
- Explain the format of the class to the Students
- Demonstrate the overhead projector for reproducing the logo
- Demonstrate how the student will complete the steps with their tools
- Break Students into teams of 2 for cutting logo
